Special: Redwire Corporation
First, about the name. "Redwire Corporation" is the publicly traded corporation on the NYSE under the symbol "RDW". However, Redwire Corporation is sometimes referred to as "Redwire Space". Its website is certainly redwirespace.com. Redwire Corporation is a Florida-registered company based out of Boca Raton, but its head office is in Jacksonville.
Redwire, LLC (not yet Redwire Corporation) was created through the merger of Adcole Space and Deep Space Systems. That deal was put together by investment firm AE Industrial Partners (also based out of Boca Raton, Florida), which had acquired both companies (via a subsidiary, see below) early in 2020. This isn't completely accurate or, indeed, the full story - see "The Path to Public Offering" below.
Redwire Corporation began trading publicly on September 3, 2021.
