What's With All the U.S. Space-Related Agencies?

A couple of years ago, I was struck by an article from the US Department of Defence itself entitled, "What's With All the U.S. Space-Related Agencies?" They didn’t even get them all! It was confusing back then, and, frankly, still is today. Let's see ... there's the NRO, AFLR, DARPA, SDA, Space Force, and SPACECOM. I'm going to try and give you a good overview of those DOD space-related agencies and commands here.
